Description

This treat adds a salty crunch to the classic Buckeye candy!

Ingredients

  • 1-½ cup Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 stick Butter, Softened
  • 1 pound Powdered Sugar
  • 2 cups Waffle Shaped Pretzels (or Other Small Ones)
  • 9 ounces, weight Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 2 Tablespoons Crisco

Preparation

Mix peanut butter, vanilla, butter and powdered sugar. Roll into little balls and press between two pretzels. Put on wax paper or a Silpat and freeze until firm.

Melt chocolate chips and Crisco in a small bowl. I melted mine in the microwave in 30-second bursts until it was smooth, about a minute. Dip each peanut butter pretzel bite halfway into the chocolate. Return to the wax paper and freeze until chocolate sets.

Makes about 45 bites. Delicious!

This looks so yummy and easy! Can’t wait to try them. If I had pretzels I would make them tonight. But I’m too lazy to run out for them.

These are really easy and good. They’re cute too!
I too liked that it was only half dipped.
I made a few changes…the filling seemed dry and I added about 1/3 cup more peanut butter. I used Rolled Gold round butter waffle pretzels (they’re my favorite). I didn’t use as much filling either so this recipe made a lot more than stated. They turned out great. Hubby loved them. :)

These are so easy since they’re only dipped half-way (is that just me that has issues with that?!?!?) Easy and delicious – the pretzel adds a nice crunch and taste of salt. Thanks for sharing!
