Description

Another oldie, but a goodie! I can’t believe I don’t whip this Krispie Cake up more often because it takes under 10 minutes to make and is so ridiculously good!

Ingredients

  • ¼ cups Margarine
  • 1 package Marshmallows (10 Oz.)
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies
  • ½ cups Peanut Butter
  • 2 cups Chocolate Chips

Preparation

Grease a 9×13 dish.

In a microwave safe bowl, melt margarine. Then add marshmallows and vanilla. Microwave for about 3 minutes. Mix in 6 cups Rice Krispies and quickly press into the pan. Use a little margarine on a spoon or your fingers to press down firmly.

In a smaller microwave safe bowl, melt peanut butter and chocolate chips (about 2-3 minutes), stirring every 30 seconds to ensure they don’t burn. Once all has melted together, cover Krispie cake. Refrigerate, then cut.

The chocolate peanut butter topping really puts this over the top. You can also use other chips like butterscotch, or chocolate mint, or peanut butter!

Thank you for posting this! My husband’s grandma used to make these. At one point I had the recipe but have since lost it. I was just thinking the other day that I would like to make them for my girls.
