Description

This wonderful frosting is velvety and creamy, light and decadent, rich and silky all at the same time!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Unsalted Butter, At Room Temperature
  • 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, At Room Temperature
  • ⅔ cups Creamy Peanut Butter, Preferrably Not Natural
  • 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • ½ cups Cocoa Powder
  • 1 pound Powdered Sugar
  • ¼ cups Heavy Whipping Cream

Preparation

In the bowl of your electric stand mixer, using the paddle attachment, beat the butter, cream cheese and peanut butter together until very light and creamy, about 2 minutes. Mix in the vanilla extract. Add the cocoa powder and beat until combined.

Add the powdered sugar gradually and mix in fully after each addition. (I like to drape a kitchen towel over the stand mixer while doing this, to avoid a cloud of powdered sugar in my kitchen—it really does help!) Cream at low speed until well blended and creamy.

Pour in the heavy cream and whip until the frosting is light and fluffy. Frost your cake or cupcakes and enjoy!

Makes about 4 cups of frosting.

This is a keeper recipe. Tasted so good on a chocolate cake from a mix. Someone said it tasted better than the famous peanut butter cups I decorated with on top!
