Description

Melted chocolate and peanut butter gets poured over Ritz and graham crackers, creating an amazing candy bar.

Ingredients

  • 1-½ cup Graham Cracker Crumbs
  • 1 cup White Sugar
  • ¾ cups Packed Brown Sugar
  • ¾ cups Butter, Cubed
  • ⅓ cups Milk
  • 80 whole Ritz Crackers (2 Sleeves)
  • 1-½ cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1-¼ cup Peanut Butter

Preparation

In a large saucepan, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugars, butter, and milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook and stir for about 5 minutes more.

Grease a 9×13 pan and place a single layer of Ritz crackers along the bottom. Top with half of the graham cracker crumb mixture. Repeat layers once and then top with the remaining Ritz crackers.

In a microwave safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and peanut butter. Microwave on low, stopping to stir occasionally. Do not overcook or the chocolate will burn. Pour over the crackers and refrigerate until firm. Cut into bars and enjoy!

I made these tonight…they’re chilling now. I had to sneak some edges (even though they’re not set), and they were yummy!

I made 1/2 the recipe in an 8×8 pan and we devoured them!

I made these last weekend. My nephew (6 years old) took one bite and said – ‘Wow, these are great – I’m going to make this last forever!’. I didn’t have a hard time getting them out of the pan but I had let them set up in the refrigerator for a couple of hours prior to serving. I used Wheat Ritz crackers to try to be a bit more healthy – probably would have been even better with Original Ritz. But the combination of sweet chocolate, salty crackers and PB was great!

I made these for my sister-in-law’s graduation party. They were a hit! I had a hard time getting the bars out of the glass pan, so I turned the pan upside down on a cutting board. Then I soaked a towel in hot tap water and wrung it out. Then I laid the towel over the bottom of the pan. I did that three times because the cold pan quickly cooled down the towel. That bit of heat loosened the butter that I greased the pan with, and the bars came right out.
