Description

Juicy strawberries are dipped in rich dark and white chocolate. A perfect end to a great Valentine’s Day.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE DARK CHOCOLATE STRAWBERRIES:
  • 12  Large Strawberries
  • 2 cups Dark Chocolate Chips
  • ½ Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • FOR THE WHITE CHOCOLATE STRAWBERRIES:
  • 12  Large Strawberries
  • 8 ounces, weight White Chocolate
  • ½ Tablespoons Olive Oil

Preparation

Wash the strawberries under running cold water and dry very well with a paper towel.

Place about an inch of water in the bottom of a small pot and heat until simmering. Put a heatproof bowl on top of the pot, making sure it doesn’t come into contact with the water.

Place the dark chocolate chips into the bowl and mix until they are all melted. Take the bowl off the pot and repeat with a clean bowl for the white chocolate.

Add the oil to both bowls of melted chocolate and stir well. Place a sheet of parchment paper on to a cookie tray and set aside.

Starting with the dark chocolate, take a strawberry and dip it into the bowl. Gently let the excess run off back into the bowl. Place the dipped strawberry onto the parchment paper and let dry. Repeat with the rest of your strawberries.

Once the strawberries have all been dipped and are dry, drizzle some of the leftover chocolate over them. You can also chop some nuts finely and sprinkle on top.

Eat on the same day, preferably, and store at room temperature.
