Simple, yet gourmet! Chocolate covered strawberries.
Insert a skewer into the top of the strawberry. Melt the chocolate in a glass bowl over medium heat, using a double boiler setup (a sauce pot with a glass bowl on top). Don’t put too much water in the pot; your glass bowl should not touch the water. Bring water to a boil, stirring the chocolate continuously until the chocolate has completely melted. Add the vegetable oil and stir. Remove pot from heat. Proceed with the following; dip the strawberries in chocolate, gently pat the chocolate covered strawberry in chopped nuts, turn and pat each side making sure to cover the entire strawberry. Let set and serve.
