Description

These double decker bars are a mouthful of yumminess!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Flour
  • 1-½ teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 3 sticks Unsalted Butter, At Room Temperature And Cubed
  • 2 cups Quick Oats
  • 2 cups Brown Sugar
  • 2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Dulce De Leche
  • 1 cup Coconut

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350ºF and grease a 9×13 pan.

In a large bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

Mix in the butter, oats, and brown sugar until combined.

Put half of the oat mixture into the prepared pan. Pat down with your hands until the oat mixture covers the bottom of the pan.

Bake at 350ºF for 15 minutes.

Remove from the oven, and sprinkle with half of the chocolate chips. Spoon half of the dulce de leche on top. Cover with the remaining oat mixture, spreading to cover the bottom half. Add the remaining chocolate chips and dulce de leche on top.

Sprinkle the coconut on top of the chocolate chips and dulce de leche layer, and pat down with your hands. Return to the oven, and bake for an additional 30-35 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.

Let cool completely, and enjoy!

Makes 20 large bars.
