Preheat oven to 375°F. Beat butter and sugars in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans gently.
Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from baking sheets. Cool on wire racks.
Makes 36 cookies.
