Description

These amazing chocolate chip cookie bars come from a slightly adapted version of my favorite CCC recipe! So rich, very chocolaty and not for the faint of heart!

Ingredients

  • 11 Tablespoons Butter, Melted And Slightly Cooled
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ cups White Sugar
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 whole Egg Yolk
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Flour
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 2 cups Your Favorite Chocolate Chips

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 325 F.
2. Line a 9×13 pan with foil, and spray foil with nonstick cooking spray.
3. Using your stand mixer, beat butter and sugars until well combined. Once combined, add the egg, egg yolk and vanilla.
4. Mix in the flour, salt and baking soda using a spatula. Do not over-mix. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips and spoon the batter into your pan.
6. Bake for 25-27 minutes. Remove pan from oven and allow cookies to cool to room temperature.
7. Once cool, cut into 2 inch squares and serve.

Note: These are super rich and chocolaty. If you don’t like too much chocolate, try using 1/2 a cup less chocolate chips. They are very rich. If you don’t like overly rich desserts, try something else!

These were fantastic. The texture was perfect with the thick, gooey, chewy center. My family loved these. I had a craving for a chocolate chip cookie but didn’t want to spend all night scooping and baking cookies so I turned to this recipe. It literaly took me 5 minutes to whip it together and 20 minutes later DONE and DELICIOUS.

YUMMM! Made these on a Saturday morning, by Sat. afternoon they were nowhere to be seen. My family loved them! I used 1 cup chips, and this was sweet enough for us. It also has that lovely salty flavor I love in a chocolate chip cookie. And so gooey in the center. I will be making again soon, and hiding them. ;-) Thanks for sharing.
