Description

Thick moist chewy brownie full of chocolate and butterscotch flavors.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE CHOCOLATE BATTER:
  • ½ cups Flour
  • ¼ cups Cocoa Powder
  • ⅛ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 dash Salt
  • ¼ cups Butter, Softened
  • 1-½ cup Sugar
  • 2  Eggs
  • ¼ cups Semisweet Chocolate Chips
  • FOR THE BUTTERSCOTCH BATTER:
  • ½ cups Flour
  • ¼ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 dash Salt
  • ¼ cups Butter, Softened
  • ½ cups Brown Sugar
  • 1  Egg
  • ¼ cups Butterscotch Chips

Preparation

For the chocolate batter:

1. Preheat oven to 350 F and grease an 8×8 pan.

2. Mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in a small bowl and set aside.

3. In the bowl of a stand mixer cream together butter and sugar. Then add eggs one at a time continuing to mix until combined.

4. Next add the flour mixture and mix until well blended. Then stir in chocolate chips.

For the butterscotch batter:

5. Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl and set aside.

6. In the clean bowl of your stand mixer cream together butter and sugar. Then add egg and mix until combined.

7. Next add the flour mixture until well blended. Then stir in butterscotch chips.

8. In the prepared pan spread chocolate batter. Drop spoonfuls of the butterscotch batter on top.

9. Using a knife swirl the two together.

10. Bake for 35 minutes at 350 F. Then reduce heat to 325 F and bake 10 minutes more.

11. An inserted toothpick should come out clean when brownies are cooked.

12. Cool and enjoy!
