Made this for Thanksgiving and it was a big hit with my family, who aren’t usually pecan pie fans. Very easy and fast to make too.

This was very easy to make. I don’t care for regular pecan pie but the bourbon and chocolate added enough for me to enjoy it.

Very good pecan pie. I took it to a Kentucky Derby party and it was a hit (and even received accolades from a gentleman who grew up in the South).

I made this pie as an addition to the traditional version for our Thanksgiving meal this year. The recipe came together easily and was a hit with my extended family. My sister noted that this pie has just the right amount of chocolate–plenty to enjoy but not too much to overwhelm the pecans.

This was an easy great tasting pie. I used frozen regular pie crusts, so the filing was thinner in my pies. About 1 1/4 recipes will fill 2 pies crusts. Since my pies were thinner, I adjusted the cooking times.

I loved the bits of chocolate mix in the pie. I didn’t mix them in the pie. I dropped them on top, just before baking. Since they were heavier, they sunk into the pie. The bourbon was a great addition. This will become one of my go-to desserts.
