Description

A light cake that is filled with rich banana flavor. So moist too!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Butter, Softened
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 3 whole Medium Bananas, Mashed
  • 1-½ cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ¼ cups Baking Cocoa
  • ¼ cups Nutella, Melted (optional)
  • ¼ cups Walnuts, Chopped (optional)

Preparation

In a mixer, blend butter and sugar until creamy. Add egg and vanilla, beat until combined. Blend in bananas. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Divide batter in half. To one half of the batter, add cocoa and mix until combined. Spread in the bottom of a greased 13×9 pan (I use my butter wrapper to grease the pan). Spoon the remaining batter on top and spread with spatula.

Bake in a 350ºF oven for 25 minutes. Cool on the counter and then refrigerate.

I like it best served the next day, out of the refrigerator. You can also dress it up by drizzling some melted Nutella on top and some chopped walnuts. You decide!

Delicious! I chose not to use the Nutella- it turned out great. Will definitely make this again.

Yummy!! I only added 3/4 cup of sugar and it turned out great!! I thought since adding the nutella (which i love) that would be enough sugar!! Thanks for posting great & easy way to use up rotten bananas!!
