Description

Soft and chewy Cherry Chip Cookies.

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Brown Sugar
  • 1-½ cup White Sugar
  • 1 cup Butter, Room Temperature
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 2-½ teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 2-½ cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Cherry Chips

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

First, cream together your sugars and butter with your mixer.

Next, add the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix, scraping down the sides. Now add in your baking soda, baking powder, and flour while the mixer is on low. Turn the speed up once incorporated and scrape down the sides of your bowl.

By hand, stir in your cherry chips.

When putting these onto your pan, make sure to spread them out as they do spread a bit. I found 6 fit on a larger cookie sheet just fine.

Bake for 12-14 minutes. They may look a tad bit soft in the middle but will harden up nicely once they cool.

The only place I have ever found cherry chips is Super WalMart. I think this time of year (November) you are more apt to find them.
