Description

I created these one night after a particularly bad day at work. They are super fudgy and really will cheer you up!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 4 ounces, weight Unsweetened Chocolate
  • 2 ounces, weight Semi-sweet Chocolate
  • 4 whole Eggs
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla
  • 1-⅓ cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 2 jars (6 Oz. Jar) Maraschino Cherries, Well Drained And Roughly Chopped

Preparation

In a small bowl, melt together butter and chocolate and set aside to cool.

In a large bowl, beat eggs well. Add sugar and vanilla and stir to combine. Stir in cooled chocolate mixture.

Add flour, baking powder, and salt, and stir to blend. Gently fold in cherries.

Pour into a greased 9×13 pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 35-40 minutes.

Allow to cool and cut with a plastic knife. The plastic won’t stick to the brownies!

Just made these. Someone gave me a giant jar of marischino cherries and I was craving brownies. The batter was wonderful; I’m sure the baked version will be too!!
