Description

A tasty treat.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE CRUST:
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 2 cups Quick Cooking Rolled Oats
  • 1-½ cup Brown Sugar, Firmly Packed
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 1-¼ cup Butter
  • _____
  • FOR THE FILLING:
  • 1 jar (12.5 Oz. Jar) Caramel Ice Cream Topping
  • 3 Tablespoons Flour
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • ½ cups Chopped Nuts

Preparation

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13×9 pan. In a large bowl, blend all crust ingredients at low speed until crumbly. Press half of the crumbs (about 3 cups) in the bottom of the pan. Reserve remaining crumb mixture for topping.

2. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine caramel and flour (for the filling).

3. Remove partially baked crust from oven; sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Drizzle evenly with the caramel mixture. Sprinkle with the remaining crumb mixture.

4. Bake at 350 degrees for an additional 18 to 22 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool completely. Refrigerate 1 to 2 hours until filling is set; cut into bars.
