Description

A caramel/pretzel mixture rolled in balls and drenched in chocolate! Really delicious and completely addicting.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag (14 Oz. Size) Soft Caramel Candies
  • ⅓ cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 3-½ cups Crushed Pretzels
  • 1-¼ cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 4 Tablespoons Shortening

Preparation

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt caramels and cream, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in crushed pretzels. Cool mixture slightly. Grease hands and form mixture into balls. Refrigerate while melting chocolate. In a double-boiler, melt chocolate chips and shortening, stir until smooth and completely melted. Coat pretzel balls with chocolate; place on parchment paper-lined trays to set. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Remove from refrigerator 10 minutes prior to eating (to soften them slightly).

I loved the idea of these. I didn’t have an entire bag of caramels so I just used what I had and approximated the other ingredient amounts. They were really good but will be even better when I use all the appropriate measurements.
