Description

This recipe is amazing, and requires only 3 ingredients. Not a crumb will remain in the pie plate!

Ingredients

  • 3 cans (14 Oz. Can) Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 whole Oreo Pie Crust
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream

Preparation

1. Remove the paper labels from the sweetened condensed milk cans. Place the UNOPENED cans into a large stock pot filled with water.

2. Bring to a boil. Boil the water hard for 3 hours. Be sure to check the water level often because it will evaporate. Add more water when nesessary.

3. Remove the cans with kitchen tongs, place them on a towel laid out on your counter. Allow the cans cool for 20–30 minutes. Don’t forget to let them cool! If you open them right away, they will explode!

4. Open the cans with a can opener and scoop out the yummy, gooey caramel into a pre-made Oreo cookie crust. Refrigerate 12 hours or overnight.

5. Before serving, whip up the cream and spread over the caramel. In a pinch, you can always use Cool Whip.

Enjoy!

Well, I messed around and failed to add this recipe…….I just made one about 3 weeks ago and just haven’t gotten around to it. We love this stuff, glad you got to add it.

@gonzo, you just keep the stock pot full of water. It is fabulous!
@deepsreddy, I’ve never heard of cans of dulce de leche, I’ll have to look for that!

How much water are you supposed to use for this recipe? It sounds delicious!

this is like ‘banoffee’ pie…but without the bananas, which is good because i dont like them anyway!
did you try using a can of ‘dulce de leche’ instead of boiling the condensed milk?
