Description

Candy cane-flavored blondies, with vanilla ice cream and drenched in maple butter sauce!

Ingredients

  • ¾ cups Butter
  • 1-½ cup Golden Brown Sugar
  • 1-½ cup All-purpose Flour
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 cup Chopped Candy Cane Kisses
  • 1 quart Vanilla Ice Cream, To Serve
  • _____
  • FOR THE MAPLE BUTTER SAUCE:
  • ½ cups Butter
  • ¾ cups Pure Maple Syrup
  • ¾ cups Golden Brown Sugar

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8×8 glass baking dish.

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat and then whisk in the brown sugar. Whisk continuously until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, stir the flour, salt and baking powder together. Set aside.

In a large bowl, beat the eggs. Then add vanilla and the butter/brown sugar mixture. Whisk constantly. Slowly add in the flour mixture and whisk until combined. Stir in the cup of chopped candy cane kisses and then pour into the greased baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes.

For the maple butter sauce, heat the butter and maple syrup in a saucepan over low heat. Once butter is melted, add in the brown sugar and stir until it dissolves. Remove from heat.

Slice the blondies into squares. Place a square onto a plate. Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and then drench in the maple butter sauce! Enjoy.
