Description

A creamy soft butterscotch delight.

Ingredients

  • 1-½ cup Brown Sugar
  • 1-½ cup White Sugar
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 10 tablespoons, 2 teaspoons, 7-½ pinches Evaporated Milk
  • 13 ounces, weight Marshmallow Creme
  • 12 ounces, weight Bag Butterscotch Chips
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Preparation

In a pot, mix together brown sugar, white sugar, butter, and evaporated milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for only 5 minutes and remove from heat.

Add the marshmallow creme, butterscotch and vanilla extract to the mixture. Blend well.

Line a baking tray with wax paper and pour mixture into the tray. Allow to set.

Store in the fridge in a container with a lid. This is because the fudge is soft and during warmer weather it may become too soft if left out.

This is my new favorite fudge recipe! It is very sweet, but it didn’t bother me, and I’m 32. But I also only had a couple pieces at one time. :) They are smooth and creamy, and very butterscotchy, which is exactly what I was looking for. They’re worth having to cook on the stovetop for several minutes. I will probably be making these every holiday season now, and maybe more! Thanks for sharing!

We made these the other night cuz we were all craving a sweet treat and let me just say these were SWEEEEEET! From birth till my early 30’s I was the kind of gal that could skip the savory all together for the sweets, but I have to admit these were on the border of too sweet for me. Maybe it’s cuz I just turned 40??? I gave it 4 mitts cuz it was easy and I love butterscotch chips. If I were in my 20’s I probably would’ve given it 5 mitts:)
