Description

Rich, fudgy brownies topped with Kit Kat candy bars and melted butterscotch.

Ingredients

  • 1-½ cup Sugar
  • ¾ cups Flour
  • ¾ cups Unsweetened Dark Cocoa Powder
  • 3 whole Eggs
  • ¾ cups Melted Butter
  • 24 whole Snack Sized Kit Kat Candy Bars, Unwrapped
  • 1 package (11 Oz. Size) Butterscotch Morsels, Melted According To Package Instructions
  • 1 Tablespoon Chocolate Jimmies

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 F.

In a large bowl, mix sugar, flour, cocoa powder, eggs and melted butter until thoroughly combined. Pour into a parchment paper lined 9-inch square baking dish. Press candy bars into the top of batter. Bake in a 375 F oven for about 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool some before topping them.

Spread melted butterscotch over top of brownies (brownies can be warm still) and sprinkle immediately with chocolate jimmies. Allow to cool completely. Slice and serve!

Two mittens is probably being very generous, these brownies were a mess!! Cutting these brownies impossible! The butterscotch frosting cracked, the Kit Kat layers crumbled and the middle of the brownies were very gooey. When I look at the posted photos I believe the pan size was not a 9×9, maybe a standard cake pan. Taking apart each Kit Kat stick may also help in the cutting.
