Description

When I bake this cookie, it makes my boyfriend feel like he’s a kid again!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1-½ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 4 cups Flour
  • 1-½ cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Tablespoon Milk

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350. Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix baking powder, baking soda and flour in separate bowl. Slowly add dry ingredients and buttermilk to butter and sugar. Scoop mixture onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes. Let cool completely on wire rack. Mix powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract and milk together to make a thin frosting. Drizzle generously over cooled cookies and top with sprinkles.

These are yummy! Quick and easy to make. I added an extra tablespoon of milk to the icing to thin it out and make it easier to drizzle.

Delicious! Not sickeningly sweet, which I love. Easy to make, great balance of simple flavors. I added a pinch of salt to the batter and I also had to add more milk to the icing to make it thin enough to drizzle. Note: these cookies don’t get brown on top, so don’t overcook them trying to brown them!

Every time I make these they are gone within a few days and always get rave reviews!
