Description

Those brownies are insane. This is one of my most requested recipe. They freeze well.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 6 ounces, weight Unsweetened Chocolate Chips
  • 2 cups Butter
  • 1-¼ cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 6 whole Eggs
  • 2-¼ cups Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Vanilla
  • 3 Tablespoons Instant Coffee
  • 4 cups Oreo Cookies Chopped

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350F. Prepare an 11-1/2 x 17-1/2 baking dish with butter and flour.

Melt semi-sweet chocolate chips, unsweetened chocolate and butter together. Let it cool.

Sift flour, baking powder and salt. In another large bowl, mix together the eggs, the sugar, vanilla, and instant coffee. Mix well. Add the cooled chocolate mixture.

Add flour to the chocolate mixture. Mix well. Add the Oreo cookies.

Pour in the prepared pan and bake for 35 minutes. Let it cool, then refrigerate.

How many eggs?? I started making these this past weekend & realized mid recipe that it didn’t say how many eggs. I looked for the recipe on the internet & found many very similar recipes, but each had a different amount of eggs: 2, 3 & 6. Please let me know how many eggs your recipe calls for. Thanks!!

These had great flavor but didn’t come out as pretty as yours – the Oreos baked/melted into the brownie and you couldn’t tell they were there. In fact, I didn’t taste the Oreos either. Did I do something wrong?
