Description

A blondie style cake full of great chew, caramel flavor, and topped with walnuts. It takes only 5 minutes to mix together, and 25 minutes to bake up.

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Brown Sugar
  • ½ cups White Sugar
  • 2 whole Large Eggs
  • 8 Tablespoons Butter, Melted, Plus 2 Tablespoons Softened Butter For The Skillet
  • 1 cup Flour
  • ¼ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ⅛ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ cups Walnuts, Chopped

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350ºF with a rack in the middle position. Generously grease a 9″ skillet with 2 tablespoons of softened butter.

In a large bowl, whisk together the sugars and eggs until well combined. Add the melted butter and whisk until smooth and satiny.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture and whisk together until smooth.

Pour the batter into the prepared skillet and sprinkle on the chopped walnuts. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown and an inserted toothpick comes out clean.

Note: If you don’t have a skillet, just use a glass pie plate.

This is a very dangerous recipe. It’s so easy and uses ingredients that are always on hand. Everyone loved it. It has a wonderful buttery caramel flavor.
