Description

Cookies … that taste like muffins!

Ingredients

  • 1 stick Butter, At Room Temperature
  • ¾ cups Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1-¾ cup All-purpose Flour
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 1-½ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 Tablespoon Milk, Or More If Needed
  • ¾ cups Fresh Blueberries

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375ºF.

Beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer until smooth. Add egg and vanilla, mixing well until combined, about 2 minutes. Stir in flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon with the mixer on low speed. Mix until dough comes together. Add in milk. If dough is still crumbly, add milk 1 tablespoon at a time until it comes together. Fold in the blueberries gently with a spatula—it is okay if they break a bit. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Remove dough from the fridge and roll into 1 1/2-inch balls or scoop out with an ice cream scooper. Bake at 375ºF for 10-12 minutes. Let cool completely.

I’ve made these twice in the last couple of weeks; delicious! But, since a muffin’s not a muffin without crumb topping (equal parts brown sugar, flour and 1/2 as much room temp butter), I pressed some into each raw cookie ball on the pan before baking. Even more delicious! Thanks for the recipe!

Look great, I will give them a try this week but will use dried blueberries instead of fresh. Thanks for the idea!

I just read your post to thaw them and dry them :\ That prob would have worked easier than them squirting at me while I roll them in my hand hahaha. Still wonderful! :)

What a great idea for a cookie! I’m always looking for ways to use blueberries especially when they are on sale. Great picture of this cookie too!

Melanie – they should be fine, just make sure they are completely thawed and dry!

These are delicious! I didn’t have any milk so I used 1 Tablespoon of water and they still tasted great! We all thought it tasted just like a blueberry muffin!

These almost reminded me of just eating the top part off a muffin (which is my favorite part!). These were very easy to make and turned out delicious…which says a lot because I’m not the most amazing baker. Yum!

I made these because I had tons of extra blueberries and was very impressed. I added extra blueberries because one can never have too many blueberries. :)
I felt they are just a tad too sweet so next time I might try a little less sugar. Also I did smoosh them down before baking them.

AWESOME! These are like little cobbles bites! My hubby LOVED them. I think next time I will add a few more blueberries and some oats for texture. Also, mine didn’t flatten at all! I squished them down the 2nd sheet, and I think it would be good to roll the balls in sugar before squashing. Either…YUMMY!!

Just made a batch of these scrumptious cookies. I followed the recipe exactly but added 1 cup of blueberries (because if 3/4 of a cup is good then 1 cup is better ;). They are so delicious!
