Description

Here’s a recipe I’ve been making for years. It is one of my husband’s favorites. Chewy and delicious, and great for potluck gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ⅔ cups Butter Or Margarine, Melted
  • 2 cups Brown Sugar
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • ½ cups Chopped Pecans

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF. In small bowl, mix together flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. In a large mixing bowl, combine butter and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture. Spread into a greased oblong cake pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and chopped pecans. Bake for 30 minutes. Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing.

Makes 20.

These were very good! Followed Stephanie’s comment and mixed the chocolate (& nuts) into the mix.

These are very yummy! Instead of chocolate chips I used white chocolate chips.

This recipe seriously is a MUST TRY! I don’t like foods that are too sweet, so I was glad to have these come out with the right amount of sweetness! Really loved them!

Super easy and delicious. I didn’t add the nuts because I am not a fan and I just mixed the chocolate chips in with the mix but it was a huge hit. Will definitely be putting this in my favorites. Thanks Deborah :)
