Description

The quintessential summer dessert. Sweet, delicious, and pretty quick to put together too!

Ingredients

  • 1 stick Butter, Melted
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Self-Rising Flour
  • 4 cups Blackberries

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350F. Pour melted butter in the bottom of 9×13 pan. In a separate bowl, mix together milk, vanilla, sugar and flour.

Pour this in the pan with butter.

Taste berries for sweetness and sprinkle with 1/4 cup sugar if needed.

Pour fruit in the middle of the pan.

Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.

Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.

This is so awesome! and Easy!
I have made it twice with blackberries and once with blueberries. Everyone loves it. I do make twice the amount of cobbler stuff-we does like some cobbler stuff-and I added a little cinnamon, too. If you double the amount of cobbler stuff, make sure to let it cook another 5 minutes or so to make sure the middle is done. At a party someone told me it was the best dessert they ever had-quite a compliment , Miss Jodiemo :)
