Description

Nice and creamy, just like your mama made.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (14 Oz. Can) Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1-½ cup Cold Water
  • 1 box (3.5 Oz. Box) Instant Vanilla (or Banana) Pudding Mix
  • 2 cups Cool Whip, Plus Extra For Topping
  • 36 whole Vanilla Wafers
  • 3 whole Medium-sized Bananas, Sliced And Dipped In Lemon Juice

Preparation

In a large mixing bowl, combine condensed milk and water. Add pudding mix and beat until blended. Chill for 5 minutes in the refrigerator. Gently fold in the whipped topping just to combine (you want it to stay nice and thick).

I used cute little canning jars and just started layering. Nilla wafers on the bottom and a couple on the sides, pudding, and then the bananas.Repeat and then garnish the tops with Cool Whip and a Nilla wafer.

You can use a serving dish instead and just layer the same way.

YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY – If you use whipped cream (whip heavy cream with no sugar) instead of coolwhip it will lessen the sweetness of the dish!

This was good, but super sweet. I put a lot of pudding in between layers and it was so sweet I couldnt eat it all. My husband liked it a lot. I will make this again just modify it a little. Its a really great base recipe. Thanks for posting!

this is a really good base recipe. It was just really sweet. But someone suggested instead of using cool whip make your own with heavy whipping cream and no sugar it would cut the sweetness a bit. And sure enough it did!
