These cupcakes were transplendent! So much better than any overpriced cupcake shop. I loved the specific directions in this recipe. I believe it made all the difference. I added a hint of cinnamon to the batter based on personal preference. Not at all like banana bread, in a good way. I need two large bananas to bring it to one cup. The frosting was divine but I’m always scared of adding too much powdered sugar so mine was a tad bit runny. No matter, they came together beautifully!

Made the cupcakes only but they were wonderful paired with peanut butter icing.

When you say “ripe” banana…do you mean yellow or brown? We keep our “ripe” bananas in the freezer until we need them… Just asking.. Thanks, rgds, al

I saw these yesterday and HAD to make them. All I can say is… D-LISH! I even added a banana to some of the frosting and it made it that much better! Great recipe!!!

Made these cupcakes this weekend for a family bbq. They were a huge hit! Next time I need to double the recipe. The icing was awesome and I used the leftover for cinnamon rolls on Sunday. Yummy!
