Description

The banana cream pie for people who think they don’t like banana cream pie (including me!).

Ingredients

  • 1-½ cup Crushed Graham Crackers
  • ½ cups Sugar, Divided
  • ⅓ cups Butter Or Margarine, Melted
  • 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese
  • 3-½ cups Plus 2 Tablespoons Cold Milk, Divided
  • 1 tub (8 Oz. Tub) Cool Whip, Divided
  • 3 whole Bananas, Sliced
  • 2 boxes Instant Vanilla Pudding, 4-Serving Size (about 3.4 Oz. Each)

Preparation

Crust:
Combine the graham crackers, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter and press into a 9×13 pan. Chill. (I like to just toss it in the freezer until I’m ready for the next layer.)

Cream cheese layer:
Beat the cream cheese, remaining 1/4 cup sugar, and 2 tablespoons milk until smooth. Fold in half of the Cool Whip and spread over crust. Slice bananas over top.

Pudding layer:
Combine pudding and remaining 3 1/2 cups milk as directed on the box. Pour over bananas and chill several hours or overnight. Top with remaining half of Cool Whip before serving.

I made this to take to a family reunion this past weekend. It was completely gone within 15 minutes of me bringing it out, and I was wishing I had made two! It got rave reviews from everyone, from the little kids to the older adults.
