1. Preheat oven to 400ºF.
2. Peel back one side of the banana, while still keeping the peel attached.
3. Using a knife, cut a slit down the center of the banana to create an opening to place toppings.
4. Fill the opening of the banana with chocolate chips and marshmallows (and other various toppings if desired—peanut butter, caramel sauce, and walnuts are great additions).
5. Place the peel back over the banana and wrap in aluminum foil.
6. Place banana in oven for about 10 minutes, or until banana skin is black. If you are using a campfire, place the banana around the coals of the fire (making sure they don’t get in contact with flames) for the same amount of time.
7. Allow banana boat to cool for 2-3 minutes before removing aluminum foil and eating!
