NWNancy – great tip! I can imagine the maple flavoring with the banana is delicious!

These are awesome with a light, maple-flavored frosting. Just use maple syrup for the liquid in a buttercream frosting recipe, or maple flavoring.

I have a recipe almost just like this from an old church cookbook… they are wonderful! so much better than banana bread and just as easy to make.

Make this to take to work and they loved it! Must admit that I was out of butter and used stick margarine instead, but was still delicious. More like cake than bars, though.
