As terrifying as I found using the bacon fat to be, these were GOOD. The bacon flavor is really subtle, and I don't think I would have guessed what it was if I hadn't know, but it gives it an extra sumpin'-sumpin'. I added some salt to the caramel (it is SALT caramel, after all), but honestly, I wouldn't have minded a bit more. Overall, though, so good, and had all people who dared to taste them moaning in happiness!

ok, made them today because...ohmygosh! I HAD too! Struggled a little with the caramel....it hardened on me quickly....so I had lumps and clumps of sugar (what really happened was I think I didn't add the cream mixture soon enough) BUT my son's dad walked in and stirred and stirred while I whipped up the brownie batter and we managed to get a good amount to pour into the brownies...TO DIE FOR!! (I baked for 50 minutes in MY oven, it's a little different!). Great recipe, thanks!

This recipe has been haunting me since I first saw it this week. These are the strangest things - I cooked them tonight and they are ADDICTING. When you eat one, you are not sure what to think...but then you want a 2nd...and a 3rd...and so on. I highly recommend giving these a try!

Great recipe! Very easy to follow:) I don't eat meat so I substituted 2 teaspoons salted butter for bacon fat and added 2 teaspoons salt to carmel in order to give it more salt flavor. Worked wonderfully. Can't wait to try more of your recipes!

Wow! I made these yesterday.. they are wonderful! I was a little skeptical but I'm glad I went for it.. the bacon flavor is slight but definitely there! I don't think this little pan will last long. Thanks for sharing!
