Description

This is the most requested recipe each year at Christmas time. Remember to start timing the boil when the syrup is at a rapid boil that can’t be stirred down.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar, Light
  • ½ cups Butter (1 Stick)
  • 1 can Evaporated Milk 12 Oz
  • 1 jar Marshmallow Cream (7oz)
  • 1 jar Peanut Butter (16 Oz)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Preparation

1. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.

2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, brown sugar, butter and evaporated milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and boil for 7 minutes. Start to time this when the syrup begins to cook, and the boil can’t be stirred down. Then begin timing.

3. Remove from heat; stir in marshmallow creme until well incorporated and melted.

4. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla until smooth; spread in the prepared pan. Let cool before cutting into squares.

Yields approximately 3-5 lbs fudge.

I’ve made this recipe 4 times for the holidays this year, it is perfect every time! The syrup isn’t too hard to get just right. I’ve not had a batch that didn’t turn out!! It has been requested a couple times for gatherings.

Be sure to get the syrup to a rolling boil before timing or it won’t turn out. This is a boil you can’t stir down. This is one of our favorites. You’ll be happy if you try this one.

so far it isn’t spectacular in taste, but it hasn’t cooled completely. once i added the peanut butter the stuff tightened up pretty quick and it was hard to spread in the pan. i’m waiting so see how it turns out after it’s completely cooled.

Delicious and easy to make!!

The only problem I had was I used what i considered to be a medium size saucepan and had trouble with boiling over….next time I will use a large saucepan!!

Thanks for the recipe!!
