Place apples, cider, cinnamon stick and nutmeg in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until apples are soft and liquid starts to thicken (about 20 minutes). Remove cinnamon stick and discard.
Place 1/4 of the yogurt, 1/4 of the apple and syrup, and 1/4 of the walnuts into each serving glass. Repeat layers. Serve while apples are still warm or refrigerate before serving.
