Description

I took this to a retreat about pollinators, and figured the apples and honey would be a good match for the topic. It was a big hit and people asked for the recipe. I ate leftovers for the next three days and it was still good! Toffee wasn’t crunchy, but still delicious!

Ingredients

  • 2 loaves Pound Cake Bread Pan Size
  • 8 whole Apples Peeled And Thinly Sliced
  • ¼ cups Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 14 ounces, weight Cream Cheese Light Or Regular
  • ⅓ cups Honey
  • 1 box Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix
  • 1 bag Toffee Bar Pieces (I Used Skor)

Preparation

Cube the pound cakes into roughly 1-inch cubes.

Saute the apples in the butter until soft. Add the cinnamon and mix well to coat all the apple slices.

Using an electric mixer, combine the whipping cream, cream cheese, honey and vanilla pudding.

Now assemble the trifle in a large clear bowl with straight(ish) sides so it’s pretty from the side.

First lay down a layer of cake cubes, then cover with the sauteed apples. Then cover with a generous layer of whipped cream. Then sprinkle with a layer of ground Skor bits.

Repeat the layers until all the ingredients have been used up, ending in a layer of Skor bits. Then drizzle some honey on the top and accept all compliments for this pretty and tasty dessert!
