I’ve made a similar recipe, but used a spice cake mix instead. Very yummy!! :)

I love this! We have always made this with one exception. After the apple pie filling we dot small spoonfuls of sour cream, then top with cake mix and small pats of butter all over. YUMMM

my family has used a variation of this recipe for generations! they always use a can of cherry pie filling and a can of crushed pineapple. i started using different kinds of filling recently, and i love blackberry pie filling with a can of sliced peaches (drained, of course!). It’s such a versatile style of cake!

Rave reviews from my coworkers & hubby. I only tweaked this recipe very slightly – instead of a 9 x 13 pan I used 2 – 8 x8 dishes – I divided the recipe completely in half to make the two dishes instead of the one – one for home & one for work. Then tried it while it was still warm with caramel syrup drizzled on top…DELICIOUS – 5 Mitts!
