If you love allspice, this recipe is for you!
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, oats, allspice, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
In another mixing bowl, cream the shortening and the sugar. Add the egg and the applesauce. Add the flour mixture and mix well. Incorporate the raisins and the chopped pecans.
Drop the dough by tablespoonfuls onto a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet.
Bake for 11-15 minutes or until the cookies are golden.
