These gluten-free molasses sugar cookies have to be one of my most favorite cookies of all time—soft, chewy and slightly crunchy on the outside!
Nancy is the Coupon Clipping Cook, which means she not only has an astounding number of recipes to share with us (her TK recipe box is busting at the seams!) but she's also got loads of money-saving tips in her blog (she worked at a grocery store for a number of years, so she knows her stuff). She has some pretty amazing creations, like Roasted Garlic Potato Soup and Nutty Coconut Chicken. Go check them out!
Heather is a Texas native and the blogger behind Heather's Dish. She's mom to Weston, wife to Nate, and they live in Little Rock, Arkansas with their two "stubborn and saucy" dogs Bunker and Keira. In her blog, she shares her photographs, random musings (serious and silly alike), and all kinds of scrumptious recipes---and not just evil variations of her favorite mac and cheese. Her enviable TK recipe box is a testament to that. Go see for yourself!

These are lovely cookies! I made mine with fresh orange marmalade and left off the icing as they were already very sweet. Very quick and easy!

I’ve been making these cookies for years with a slight variation. Instead of the water with the powdered sugar I add milk and some more almond extract then I melt some chocolate and drizzle that on top of the cookie after the powdered sugar glaze. Thanks for sharing.

These are awesome! Super, super easy and so tasty…and some of the dough even made it to cookies! lol I made them with cherry jam ‘cuz that’s all I had on hand. Gonna have to make them again tonight, the kids snarfed them up really fast!

I’m planning on making these this week for our upcoming Christmas party….and I’m just wondering how big everyone is making the balls…an inch?
mangiamangia on 12.14.2010
Hi Laura, if you haven’t made these already, I have made them twice and can tell you that the first time I made them too big, probably and inch++…the second time closer to inch or just a tad smaller and it worked out better. There were more cookies per batch too. Happy Holidays.
