Description

Not too sweet, crunchy and delicious. Excellent with black coffee.

Ingredients

  • 180 grams All-purpose Flour
  • 20 grams Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 30 grams Desiccated Coconut
  • 3 whole Eggs
  • 150 milliliters Vegetable Oil
  • 50 grams Honey
  • 100 grams Dark Chocolate, Roughly Chopped
  • 50 grams Almonds
  • 50 grams Sugar
  • 10 milliliters Rum Extract Or Rum

Preparation

Sift the flour with the cocoa powder. Add the coconut and stir to combine.

In another bowl, whisk the eggs with the wire whisk. Add the oil, honey, roughly chopped chocolate and almonds. Combine, and then add the rest of the ingredients.

Pour the batter into a baking dish (mine was 23×30 cm) lined with baking paper, and bake in a preheated oven, at 180ºC (355ºF), for about 20-25 minutes (mine were done after 23 minutes). Make sure you test for doneness with a toothpick, and do not overbake them.

Serve with milk or black coffee.
