This cake is absolutely delicious. I made it into a ‘flag’ cake for the 4th; I made it just as the recipe directs, but then I put a layer of whipped cream over the icing, and then used blueberries in the ‘star’ field, and strawberry halves for stripes, alternating with a fluffy stripe of whipped cream out of the can. It was very festive, and everybody loved it. I will definitely make this my ‘go to’ white sheet cake. Totally yummy!

I’ve made this recipe several times, and it always turns out delicious. I have a tendency to ‘mess up’ recipes and they don’t turn out how I planned, especially if I double the recipe. But with this one, it comes out as planned, again and again.

Who doesn’t love dense, moist cake with frosting! It was great, especially with fresh raspberries on the side.

This was so good! It’s a very moist, rich cake with the frosting but I have a sweet tooth so it was perfect for me. Served with strawberries.
