Description

Perk up ham, pork or poultry with this chutney.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 Oz. Size) Crushed Pineapple
  • ½ cups Golden Raisins
  • ½ cups Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Grated Ginger Root
  • 1 package 8 Ounce Package, Dried Cherries (cut Into Small Pieces)
  • ¼ teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 2 Tablespoons Finely Diced Red Onion
  • ¼ cups White Vinegar

Preparation

In a medium size saucepan add pineapple and the juices from the can. Add raisins, sugar, ginger root, dried cherries, cinnamon, onion, and vinegar. Stir on medium heat for 10 minutes then lower heat to a simmer and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Let chutney cool and place in containers to store in the refrigerator. Use with a pork or poultry dish; it just adds a bit of tang!
