Description

I LOVE Dijon mustard. It is one of those things that I always have to have in the kitchen. I use it for my sandwiches, hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken salad, tuna salad, and many other things. But one of the things it has to be in is my basic salad dressing. Use any kind of small container for the salad dressing. I had an empty Dijon mustard jar that I just finished and I had to use it to make some salad dressing.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Dijon
  • 2 Tablespoons Wine Vinegar
  • 6 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Pepper
  • Optional Add-ins (See Note)

Preparation

Blend all the ingredients together well. You can just use the base recipe or add the additions; it depends on your taste.

Note: I usually add one or all of these additions:

1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon fresh/dried parsley or dill
1 pressed garlic glove
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon parmigiano cheese

Taste and you can always adjust based on your taste. If you want it more sour, add more vinegar. If you want it milder, add more olive oil. Want it creamer? Add mustard or cheese. If you want it spicier, add more mustard.

Enjoy!
