Easy Apple Dumplings

by Ree and filed in Desserts, Fruit Desserts

These are really surprisingly delightful! The texture of the crescent rolls becomes something entirely different during the baking process: the top gets delightfully crisp and flavorful, while the underneath side remains soft and mushy and more “apple dumpling-y”. And the Mountain Dew, coupled with the obscene amount of butter, creates a yummy, sweet sauce at the end. Serve these beauties with ice cream.

‘Tis the season! Peaches are everywhere. We had 9 boxes at our reunion and made this delicious Peach Cobbler which we served with vanilla ice cream.

Pear-Cinnamon Crisp with Vanilla Ice Cream

by Ree and filed in Desserts, Fruit Desserts

You won’t believe how delightful this is. Such a nice change of pace from the typical (albeit delicious) apple dessert. And you can add some minced fresh ginger to the pears if you want to step the flavors up a notch.

Blackberries with Sweet Cream

by Ree and filed in Desserts, Fruit Desserts

Oh, dear. It’s really all I can say. I love this so much, I can’t even see straight. A cold custard-type cream to spoon over fresh berries. Sublime, and I don’t use that term lightly.

Meet Nancy

Nancy is the Coupon Clipping Cook, which means she not only has an astounding number of recipes to share with us (her TK recipe box is busting at the seams!) but she's also got loads of money-saving tips in her blog (she worked at a grocery store for a number of years, so she knows her stuff). She has some pretty amazing creations, like Roasted Garlic Potato Soup and Nutty Coconut Chicken. Go check them out!

Meet Heather

Heather is a Texas native and the blogger behind Heather's Dish. She's mom to Weston, wife to Nate, and they live in Little Rock, Arkansas with their two "stubborn and saucy" dogs Bunker and Keira. In her blog, she shares her photographs, random musings (serious and silly alike), and all kinds of scrumptious recipes---and not just evil variations of her favorite mac and cheese. Her enviable TK recipe box is a testament to that. Go see for yourself!
