There is just something about the alcohol that really brings out the flavor of the fruit. Peaches taste richer and well-rounded with a little white wine thrown in.
Due to some miscalculations and more bruised fruit than I had anticipated, I currently have approximately 30 jars of this jam in storage. Friends and family, I hope you’re ready for some peach jam in your holiday packages this year.
This jam is a little on the sweet side, but oh so worth it! Tastes just like Mom’s apple pie.

I am still canning all those apples we bought back a few months ago. Who knew life would be so crazy the last few months? I’ve hardly had more than one day a week (if that, some weeks) to work on the canning. Thankfully I only have about 5 bushels of apples and 7 pumpkins left that need preserving.
So, since we have enough applesauce and apple butter to last us a few years, this original recipe is what I came up with.

This jam is so easy and so yummy! Our local grocery store had cranberries on sale so I tried a new jam. The recipe is a keeper!

When life gives you over-ripe bananas, don’t go conventional, make Banana Curd instead! It’s creamy, dreamy and ohhhh so rich! Great as a spread alone but also great in fillings for desserts, rolls or just use your imagination! This is by far the best tropical curd!

This festive, sugar-free alternative to jam exudes luscious winter warmth. Spread it on walnut bread or your favorite whole-grain toast. If you’re feeling adventurous, butcher a pumpkin, steam the flesh and use the puree so you can brag about it to your friends! Makes great holiday gifts.

I get more hits on my blog regarding the making of turnip kraut. We have made it for years. It is so good, not quite as tart as cabbage kraut.
