After 18 years of testing, we finally had a winner. These are our family’s favorite biscuits. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Yum! Makes about 10 biscuits.

These are absolute dead ringers for Red Lobster’s version, and couldn’t be easier to make at home. Delicious and quick to throw together, they also reheat beautifully out of the fridge for a couple days afterwards, too!

Perfect for breakfast or brunch! This recipe comes from a famous restaurant in Memphis and whenever I visit, I never miss brunch here, complete with popovers.

The best biscuits, I think, are made with buttermilk, but when you don’t have any on hand, plain yogurt will work just as well. It has the tang you want from the buttermilk and a thicker consistency than skim or lowfat milk.
Make a special breakfast this weekend. Your friends and family will thank you.

Fresh sweet onions, sharp cheddar, crisp, sweet, nutty corn bead all in one muffin. Perfect as a side to fish or steak, with a picnic or in the morning. Add a grind of black pepper before baking for an extra kick.

Not Irish, but darn good soda biscuits.

Heather is a Texas native and the blogger behind Heather's Dish. She's mom to Weston, wife to Nate, and they live in Little Rock, Arkansas with their two "stubborn and saucy" dogs Bunker and Keira. In her blog, she shares her photographs, random musings (serious and silly alike), and all kinds of scrumptious recipes---and not just evil variations of her favorite mac and cheese. Her enviable TK recipe box is a testament to that. Go see for yourself!
