I don’t even like bread & butter pickles but I love these. My mom has already polished off 2.5 of the 5 quarts I put up. Now I’m just waiting for my cucumbers to come in again.

My Dad gave me 7 cups of cukes from his yard and I happened across your recipe! So easy. I didn’t have a green pepper, but I did have a yellow bell pepper, so we’ll see how it comes out. Thanks!

These are EXCELLENT! I followed the directions (almost)….I added fresh dill weed and dried as well….it produced great pickles! We had taken our grandaughters camping in our RV and I brought all the ingredients to make these for Great Grandpa Harold…he LOVED them. After “sharing” and killing the jar, I added more fresh cukes to the brine and they “sat” for 5 more days….my Mom said this was what her brother used to do with his refrigerator pickles. Those are now gone, and we are going to start over! Thanks for a great recipe!
