Description

Oats, coconut, tart dried cherries and creamy white chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Rolled Oats, Uncooked
  • ¼ cups Wheat Germ
  • 2 Tablespoons Ground Flaxseed
  • ¼ cups Chopped Almonds
  • ½ cups Dried Cherries
  • ¼ cups Shredded Coconut
  • ¼ cups Coconut Oil
  • ¼ cups White Chocolate Morsels

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Combine all ingredients (except for 1/8 cup chocolate chips) in a large bowl. Stir to combine and make sure mixture is moistened with coconut oil.

Spread on a baking sheet. Bake for 20-30 minutes, stirring every 8-10 minutes to make sure the granola doesn’t burn.

Once finished, remove from the oven and top with remaining chocolate chips.

I used semisweet chocolate since that is what we had. This is AWESOME. I love how I can customize it to what we like or have at the house. I making these for my husband and brother in law for a surprise for the Chicago Marathon.

I like the coconut oil. (I use olive but will try coconut when I get back to the land of convenience) The white chocolate has to be for someone feeling decadent and on some mornings we should all get that chance. Great! Love dried cherries, too
