Description

The best darn breakfast you’ll ever make. They are so tasty and they are even better leftover during church. Take them for your kids to keep them quiet, but you’ll eat them too. Serve with banana’s and whipped cream. Your house will smell divine! I love these babies!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Butter
  • ½ cups Brown Sugar
  • ½ cups Molasses
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1-¼ cup Milk
  • 2 cups Flour
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1-½ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • ½ teaspoons Salt

Preparation

Melt butter and mix with brown sugar and molasses. Add eggs and milk. Combine until incorporated. Add all dry ingredients and mix until smooth. Pour onto hot greased waffle iron and cook until nicely browned.

I love to serve these with fresh bananas and whipped cream. Syrup if you like. These are so good, and it makes your house smell wonderful. We serve these especially during the holidays, but I think a gingerbread waffle in June is wonderful!

These waffles are soooo good! I snacked on them all day and the next day as well. Super easy to make and minimal amount of ingredients make it even better. Thank you for sharing!

these were super delicious– not overpowering in the least– and the perfect only-HAVE-to-eat-one-but-will-eat-two-anyway density. bananas, whipped cream, AND syrup were the perfect toppings. :)
