I made this for breakfast this morning and it was delicious! I made it as shown on the blog. I doubled the cream cheese and strawberry jam and added fresh strawberries. Yummy!

I made this dish for Mother’s Day for my wife. OMG was it ever deeelicious. I used blueberry jam and fresh bluberries as well. The presentation and taste were outstanding. Thanks for this keeper of a recipe.

I really enjoyed this as my Mother’s Day/Birthday breakfast. I doubled the filling recipe and added fresh strawberries as well. I did think the whole tablespoon of cinnamon was rather excessive, but I used it and didn’t have any complaints. I’ll probably use less next time, though.

This was delicious. My husband thought I put to much filling in the bread but I thought it was perfect.

This dish is such a delicious, special treat! As per the blog, I used strawberries and doubled the filling, and it was perfect!
If you are struggling with getting the filling in, and making it pretty, just use an icing bag without the tip! I did this and it worked great.
Two other things I did which worked well:
I added fresh lemon zest to the filling, for a little “zing”, and instead of garnishing with the almond slices, I dipped each piece of bread in almond slices after dipping in the egg mixture. This gave the french toast a nice crunch on the outside that was a great contrast to the creamy filling!

I made this with just strawberry spread and cream cheese. It was divine. Next time I may cut my bread a little thinner than two inches as it was hard to fry the slices through without bruning. Also it took four eggs for me. Am thinking of trying it again with apple pie filling!

My boyfriend cleaned his plate, looked at me, and said “Your stock just went up” (Which is a compliment, for those of you who don’t hang out with 23 year old guys on a regular basis). I also copied the blog, making it with strawberries and using one of those round loafs of “country white bread” that you get at the bakery. I won’t lie, making and filling pockets with that sort of bread was difficult, but well worth it.

Very good. I like the cinnamon added to the egg mixture. I used sourdough bread because I like firmer bread.

I made this yesterday, and it was delicious — and easy, so a bonus for that! I’ll definitely be saving this recipe and making it when I want a special breakfast. Thanks!

I made this with fresh strawberries and strawberry jam in the filling and it was scrumptious! A simple recipe that can be adjusted for all sorts of different fruit flavors. I look forward to making this one again and again.

I made this divine breakfast item for our Christmas morning breakfast. Let me just say – WOW!! This stuffed french toast is amazing!! I did change the egg mixture just a bit. Instead of using 1 tablespoon of cinnamon, I used two teaspoons of cinnamon and one teaspoon of pure vanilla extract. My husband and three boys absolutely loved it! And I did too!
Thank you for sharing this delectable recipe!

Would have been great had you given credit to the actual food blog this was taken from.
