Description

This is my amazingly awesome college standby breakfast. If I wasn’t obsessed with Greek yogurt at the moment, I’d be eating this for breakfast 7 days a week (and going through even more jars of peanut butter than I do already). I sincerely hope you all enjoy it as much as I do! Seriously, this is wickedly, awesomely delicious.

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cups Old Fashioned Oatmeal Or Comparable Multigrain Cereal
  • ⅔ cups Water
  • 3 teaspoons Milled/ground Flaxseed (optional)
  • ¼ cups Dried Cranberries
  • 1 whole Apple, Cut Into Chunks
  • ¼ teaspoons Ground Cinnamon - More If You Like It That Way
  • 1 Tablespoon Chunky Peanut Butter - Make It Nice And Heaping!

Preparation

1) Place first 6 ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl, in the order listed. Sprinkle the cinnamon over the apples so as to have the most delicious effect possible.

2) Cook in the microwave on high for about 2 minutes and 30 seconds (this will vary slightly, depending on your microwave).

3) Carefully remove the bowl from the microwave and immediately stir in the peanut butter until all ingredients are well-combined. Enjoy!

Note: I suppose you could also prepare this on your stovetop, and it would be just as delicious, if you are opposed to using the microwave. Can’t say for sure how differently the apple would cook up, though. If you try it this way, let me know!

yum! sounds soooo good! I think I will try it without apples and cinnamon and instead put raisins and coconut

This is really delicious! We served it with pure maple syrup on top and gobbled it down. Thanks!
